I am a photographer who likes to carry a complete archive of all my photos with me at all times. With a handful of these drives I can now. Over the last few years I've purchased over a dozen 256GB and 128GB PNY flash drives. This is my first 512GB model. No PNY drive has ever failed or stopped working. Here's my take on the pros and cons of my new PNY Pro Elite 512GB USB drive.________ THE GOOD FIRST:1. The ability to fit around half a terabyte of storage on a small flash drive is amazing.2. The metal construction makes the device durable and reliable.3. The key ring slot is solid and feels like it will last longer than any of their plastic flash drives. I broke several key slots for 128 and 256 GB. For the price it looks very good value.________ NOW THE BAD:1. The disk properties show that only 470 gigabytes are available. This applies to the standard NTFS file format or my favorite exFat.2 drive format. Warms up after several minutes of continuous file copying. However, the heat does not interfere with his work.3. The metal construction makes it a little heavier than my plastic-cased PNY drives.________OVERALL RESULTSEven at 470GB, this flash drive is still very expensive and offers a surprising amount of storage space in a very small package.===> I recommend it. <===
