We have a really nice 6 foot tall scratching post with a scratching post stand. In recent years, cats have completely destroyed it. I've never replaced the rope on a scratching post, but it was so easy with this rope. Just tie it at the bottom and wrap it tightly until you reach the top, then tie it again. I wrapped right over the old material. It looks like new. The rope is strong and durable. I assume this will take at least another year or two. 98 feet is a lot of rope. I managed to wrap 26 inch rack with little leftovers.
