This is a decent quality kilt for the price. The straps on the front allow you to adjust the width and the material is quite thick but may need a little ironing. I ordered a size 4 in black and still found it a bit loose but luckily there was enough room on the straps to make another hole and tighten it, so problem solved! I'm only 4ft 10" and it's just below mid-thigh. If you are taller than 5ft 5in you may need to wear tights or leggings underneath. What did you expect from a so called "micro mini kilt” from the reviews complaining about it being too short? If the Mini is already short, then expect the Micro Mini to be even shorter. Second, it is not high waisted and should be worn on the hips. Hope that helps!
