Review on iUniker Aluminum Raspberry Pi 4 Case with Passive Cooling and Heatsink Cooler - Compatible with Raspberry Pi 4 Model B (8GB/4GB/2GB) by Will Schimmel

After watching YouTube videos and thermally testing the Raspberry Pi 4, it became clear that I needed a cooling case. I didn't want a fan case. Fans are noisy and cheap little fans don't last long or start to rattle. So I chose this passive case. I'm not a gamer or power user, so I didn't do any torture testing. After reading reviews on this case and complaints about the worthless thermal tape, I bought a jar of silver thermal paste. Good decision. The tape fell apart and when I tried to remove it from the fuse strip. The thermal paste works very well. Be sure to buy silver grease. I placed it on the contact points of the case and then dropped the case onto the board. Perfect fit, easy access to all ports. Results, idle 35-37°C, working in Libre Office 40-42°C, 30 minute YouTube video 48-49°C. Suitcase with stand at the end youtube 46-47C. The case with a stand at the end provides air convection through the bottom of the case. Unless you're an advanced user, you don't need a fan case. Note: My Pi 4 is version 1.2 2020 which claims to have improved firmware to reduce CPU heat.
