Update: I am editing my review and therefore the review "title" to avoid confusion and misinformation for others . Someone left a comment on my first negative review and their comments were absolutely correct. To avoid embarrassment, I am leaving my original review below along with the video (for reference) and adding to the review for clarity: I purchased these to use with the AC adapter to charge the 9 volt battery " substitute". So I use it "like a battery" and not what it was designed for, a "receiver" for a battery. For my particular application, the connectors were swapped, but when used as intended, the elements connected perfectly. My apologies! With that in mind, you are now well-equipped to read my original (but incorrect) review: I overheard this. The elements are not defective as they are all connected, the problem is that they are all connected incorrectly! The plus and minus terminals are not properly connected. When you buy them, check the polarity to make sure the negative is actually connected to the outside and the positive to the center. You have been warned! Watch the attached video.
