The device works as it should. However, installation would be immeasurably easier if an additional 2-4 inches were added to the cable. Also, the combination of the fact that it's not waterproof combined with the way the mounting hardware is configured creates unnecessary difficulties. In particular, I drove into a downpour and tried to just unplug the USB cable to cover the ports. The whole device detached from the mount instead of letting the cable detach. Either strengthen the latch or change the direction in which the device attaches to the mounting hardware to avoid this type of problem.
