5/19/2020 Updated my review: After contacting the seller about my complaint below, I was promptly sent a replacement. Kudos to such wonderful customer service. These lamps are beautifully designed and very well constructed. However, I found them wildly spirited right out of the box (I bought a pair). Notably, they would turn on with even the slightest tap or whisper, making them practically useless since they were sitting on my bedside table, which is the last thing I want when I'm getting ready for bed. I was ready to box them up and return them the next day, but strangely enough, after giving them another chance, they "calmed down". However, I still give these lamps a low rating and find them disappointing as I go to the bedroom every 4-5 days to find that they are both on and continue to light up throughout the night. Sometimes the problem is so bad that I have to unscrew the bulbs just to keep them going (unplugging works too, except the cords are awkwardly looped behind my bed). The touch function is very responsive and works reliably every time, but overall these lights need major functional improvements. An additional change that could be made is that there's no way to just toggle straight to the off position (e.g. it could be a two finger tap signal). The medium and high settings for this lamp are very bright and I'd rather not switch between them every time, just go back to the off position. That last complaint isn't really a big deal, but overall it adds to the reason for my 3 star rating. Do yourself a favor and buy this light in the standard switch version if you really like the aesthetic design.
