I was able to adjust the voltage level so that the device delivers a charge close to the nominal load on household batteries during the bulk charging phase. The original 55 amp converter only delivered 10-20 amps during bulk charging due to the low upper voltage limit and the fact that the unit is over 20 feet from household batteries and Fleetwood only ran 6 AWG wire to the unit. A small wire will cause large voltage drops across the battery at currents greater than 15-20 amps. This blockage allowed me to adjust to it. There's also a manual mode that allowed me to crank the voltage up for a few hours to really rejuvenate my home batteries. You must use it carefully to avoid overcharging and overboiling of batteries.
