This is the second one I've bought, the first was about 2 years ago and I installed it vertically on the dash next to the radio and reminded myself I had trouble fixing it , so I used small screw insertion holes for holding and it was great. When I was moving my x4 to another truck I wanted to move the bracket but now I can see that's not the case, the adhesive is sticking to my dash pretty well now. So I bought another one and decided to mount it horizontally on top of the dash and I intended to put screws in it like I had in the other one but after cleaning the dash very well with Windex and an alcohol wipe , I found that it stuck very firmly. once I glued it. I think I'll leave it as is unless the glue comes loose, but I don't think I will because it's so firm.
