Review on Enhance Your USB Speed with the Sonnet Allegro Pro USB 3.2 Type A PCIe Card: Four SuperSpeed 10Gbps USB Connectors by Tim York

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I revived my 2010 MacPro

This PCIe card is more expensive than others. This is because it supports 4 devices at full USB 3.0 bandwidth. I installed it on a 2010 MacPro with a clean install of Sierra and it works fantastic. About 4 years ago I tried other maps. I had problems with Bluetooth interference with an older Sonnet card; As soon as I connected the device, my Bluetooth mouse stopped working. With the card I received from CalDigit, the devices often ran at 2.0 speeds, which defeated the original reason I bought the card. I've basically resigned myself to the fact that if I can't fix the problem, my MacPro will need to be replaced. This card has none of these issues and I specifically tested it on the same devices. Additionally, it helped breathe new life into my MacPro workhorse.
