I bought one for each of my six cats. My friend bought each of them metal name tags and these collars could hold them; detachable collars could not. I bought these because they had the flexibility to slip off like the breakaway collar I've used before. Despite the cheap price, they don't last long if your cat likes to scratch the collar. Within three months, several collars with loose threads were badly worn. I had a similar problem with other cloth based collars but these collars didn't last. Cats that didn't scratch them still looked pretty goofy after three months. I've since switched to leather collars (giving up the flexibility of those and breakaway collars) but they hold up much better. You must ask whether your cat will scratch them or not.
