I bought a GARMIN 010-10454-00 GPSmap 60 Series bike mount from Revain. The bike carrier consists of two parts. Both are made of plastic. One piece snaps onto the bike handlebars and has a metal screw to attach to the handlebars. The second item is a plastic cage that snaps onto the back of my GPSmap 60CSx. This allows the GPS to be securely attached to the handlebars. This second part is the same as the car dashboard mount. (See GARMIN 010-10456-00 GPSmap 60 Series Auto Mount). For the last three years I've been using GPSmap mainly in the car and occasionally on my bike. I usually completely remove the GPSmap from the plastic mount before leaving the car or bike. This was the third GARMIN bike mount I have purchased. The previous two brackets broke in the same place. Both broke at the bottom of the plastic cage attached to the GPS unit. I can't say the mount broke from cycling (mostly on the road) or from using it in my car so much. I bought a bike mount because it's $5 cheaper than a car mount. I wish GARMIN would only sell the plastic cage.
