This dance sweater is the same as the photo. My daughter tried on a medium size at her dance studio so I know she needs this size. (She usually wears a size 8 for reference.) I received an IC (Medium Kids) sweater (which is one size smaller than average) so I had to return it. The fabric is a stretchy thick cotton fabric. I would have preferred a polyester based fabric as cotton is more scratchy and can shrink in the wash but the quality was good. Instead, I reordered the Medium Big Girls Sweater.
