Review on RESPAWN 400 Racing Style Gaming Chair Furniture by Jessica Sommers

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Designed by someone who has never sat in a chair.

100% designed for gaming aesthetic, not for sitting. Designed for the beautiful photos people take with their gaming "battle stations" and more. This model is said to be for a large and large crowd, but all they did was take a regular chair and reinforce the base to increase the weight rating without actually speaking to anyone in the category "big" or "large" fits. I weigh a solid 350 pounds. Yes. I'm fat with a capital F for FOOD. I speak with authority on this matter. With that recognition, this chair has one big problem and one small problem, and those are the only two things that keep it from being the perfect chair for the overweight gamer. Problem one: the bucket seat. Ask any fat person, heck, just LOOK at any of us and this problem should be obvious. The seat of the chair has two rigid vertical panels on the sides. As with any fat person, most of the excess weight and centimeters in diameter accumulates in the back of the body and hips. Two lateral protrusions cut into the undersides of my legs, cutting off circulation and making sitting on the damn thing as comfortable as using my gonads as a cushion to sit on a pile of nails. but this only partially solves the problem. Instead, just remove them completely and extend the seat platform to the same width as the vertical parts of the arms, separated from each other. Which brings us to the second problem. The armrests are essentially a useless piece of plastic attached to a steel plate that you bolt to the underside of the seat. There's nothing wrong with that, but I still don't want the armrests of my chair to move. With only one point of contact between the armrest and the chair, especially if it's a plastic armrest, it wobbles and shifts when you lean on it, and tall people like me have a lot more mass that shifts around this problem aggravate. Extending another brace from the armrest to the back of the chair would completely eliminate this problem.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
