To be honest, if it wasn't for the tongue on this shoe I would have kept it. But before I go there, I always take 7 1/2 - in any type of shoe. I never had to go up a size but I took the advice and ordered a size 8 and it fit me perfectly - no extra room at all - perfect. They have little arch support; not as much as I would like, but certainly not much. I also bought the Zumba Strong and in comparison the Zumba Strong has about the same arch support but better cushioning than the Influence 2.5. But to be honest I have some issues with metatarsal pain so I need really good cushioning and arch support. This shoe didn't convince me either. But back to the beginning. In any case, I would not buy it because of the language. This is the weirdest stuff I've ever seen; something between crispy plastic and cheap rubber. It is very thin, no padding, little padding (thin fabric, no padding) and very uncomfortable. If it doesn't bother your skin, the upper hugs the ankle as it's very stiff. Very strange for any type of shoe, but especially for sports shoes. Of course I didn't save them.
