I needed a new mouse to replace my M500, so I bought this one. Even though the M500 is slightly larger than other mice, I was concerned that I would not be able to use it comfortably. To my surprise, however, not only does it fit perfectly in my hand, but it also has all of the benefits of a wireless mouse. It seems to me that all 3 years will work on the same batteries because the program writes the remaining charge for 1050 days with 2 fresh Duracell-type finger batteries, so you don't have to worry about it. However, even if there will only be one year instead of the three predicted years, you will still need to spend between 60 and 70 dollars on two AA batteries, which is a significant amount of money. In addition, I went with a mouse made by Logitech that featured a super scroll. The wheel can be used in one of two modes: the classic mode, which includes clicks while scrolling, and the second mode, which does not include clicks (super scroll). In the second mode, you can spin the wheel, and it will continue to spin for an extended period of time, allowing you to scroll over a substantial amount of text, pages, lines, etc.
