We bought a Necoichi carrier based on online reviews for a 10 hour trip with our cat over the holidays. The carrier was great and helped our cat relax a little while traveling. The suspension itself isn't very strong, but that's not a problem. It took two of us to carry the stretcher to and from the car and nothing but a blanket could be placed on it. However, inserting the car into the carrier and securing it to the seat belts is just as easy as folding the carrier and storing it away. The bag comes with a trash can and a small mat. He has no carbine, as someone else pointed out. However, our cat couldn't get out even though she tried to get out, so it wasn't a big problem. All in all, the cat did a great job. The stretcher was great as it didn't feel cramped in the car as it could move between either side. We ended up buying a small tray as she liked to sit in the tray that came with the stretcher. I would recommend it to cat owners who take long trips.
