The cup holder is useless if you want to use it while driving. The cup holder is a very poor design. It would be very easy to build a working roller coaster. It has a mesh net with an elastic opening in two faux leather flaps that compress the elastic band once you take out the drink and you can't put the drink back into the mesh pouch. Requires two hands. When you drive and put the drink back and the mesh bag folds up, the drink falls straight to the ground. It would be as simple as that for the saddlers to sew a stretchy mesh pouch onto the two faux leather straps so that when you put the drink back in the cup holder, it fits into the mesh and doesn't fall out. It holds a 16.9 ounce water bottle, but I don't think you could do it other than a 20 ounce drink, but I could be wrong about that. Due to the position of the twist lock, the passenger cannot reach the twist lock to open the bag while the motorcycle is moving. Sufficiently sized compartments don't fit many things, but since it's not waterproof, you can't put anything in it that needs to stay dry. Overall I'm very disappointed with the bag, but the price is right.
