This finder can work well on the lake. But in the ocean it doesn't work as well as the 4 elites I have. It doesn't work when you're in deep water. it will freeze at a depth of 1.3 feet. The GPS fails several times while driving. In fog it can be very dangerous. I spoke to Lowrance because I feel it is a manufacturing defect. But they say NO. But they give a discount to another.? no
