Review on 🚪 Volkswagen VW Beetle Golf GTI Passat Rabbit Front Left Hand Driver Side Door Lock Latch Actuator (8 PIN) - Compatible with 3B1837015A by Elvis Kohl

I gave this latch 2 tries and multiple installs. Customer service was quick to respond and just asked if I had the right part so I sent a photo of my original part number plate and it matched the exchange. In the next few emails they said that the inner door latch probably had to be pulled more than 2 times from the factory (just paraphrasing slightly). The main problem is that when the door is locked after driving, the inside door handle either doesn't work (unless you open the door first), but if it does, you have to press the inside door handle at least twice. My video shows the latch mechanism being pulled all the way out and the second pulling a shorter distance and unlocking the door latch. It was exactly the same for both of them. I reinstalled the original and it worked as it should, so I took Dorman and it was smooth and worked as intended. Don't risk saving $50 if you don't have the cash, and don't worry about inconsistent doorways and possible future failures.
