This striking necklace features silver and black patterns. It is quite long and quite heavy with three strands of metal beads. The longest strand consists of square silver tone metal beads individually framed in the way the black cord is tied. From time to time this pattern is interrupted by a short barrel shaped arrangement of slightly larger black metal beads in the shape of a cube. One of the shorter strands has the same pattern while the other shorter strand is made entirely of square silver beads. The two shorter strands are joined together at irregular intervals, giving the necklace an interesting, unique look. The photos accompanying the description of the goods give a good representation of the actual appearance of the chain and its length. The hardware is a bit light and not needed for such a long necklace anyway (it goes slightly over the head). The bell-shaped earplugs have rough edges that catch on my clothes a bit. However, the main issue I have is that the necklace has tiny spikes here and there throughout its length. At first I thought that the metal beads are not smooth, but in fact it is a cord. This is evident when I run my fingers through the chain in both directions, and is particularly noticeable where the wrapped beads merge into the barrel. There are eight main areas on my necklace where this happens - some are more obvious than others, and some knots are a bit messy. I don't know if some sort of glue or something similar was applied to one of the cut ends of the cord or just to keep the knots intact, but it's definitely something that can snag a thin fabric top. This won't be a problem with the t-shirts I normally wear, but I think it indicates a weakness in the design of this necklace. I think it's a very interesting design, although not perfectly executed. I'm deducting a star for problems with the spiky sections of the cable.
