I wanted to buy a cheaper graphite pencil set. I really had no idea. I did all my drawings with #2 pencils. The customer who gave the excellent rating pointed out the disadvantages of the cheaper product. I feel like I made a solid purchase with this set that will keep me going. They are professional quality, easy to sharpen without breaking the lead with a good metal sharpener. they are erased without leaving dark imprints. with a good metal sharpener they have good ends. Lead does not break under light pressure. Also, for us who have lost the clarity of the image, it is important that the pencil score is printed in large, on top of the pencil, with contrast, white on black. Metal pencil stand means portability. Each pencil sits firmly in its own indentation. No searching for the right pencil, no rummaging through the bottom of your bag to find a broken tip. If there's an art store near you, you can save money by buying them individually. I prefer them in a metal case. In any case, this is a good set of pencils.
