We bought this apron to hide the base of our tree. The skirt looks good and appears to be of good quality. However, we found that it has a design flaw that prevents us from using it. The plastic panel is assembled so you can easily wrap it around the base of the tree, but when you try to place the skirt fabric you can't because it's one solid piece. No velcro, no drawstrings, no connection zipper. If you already have a tree, like in our case, you literally have to lift the tree up to get the skirt underneath. We couldn't do it with a 9 foot tree. Keep this fact in mind as it is not obvious in the description. It would be very smart and easy for the manufacturer to offer an open skirt that can be wrapped around a tree and fastened with Velcro at the back. Since the skirt looks so pretty, we thought of making a slit in the fabric, buying some Velcro strips and attaching them to the edges of the slit. However, we also found that due to the tapered shape and smooth plastic surface of the board, the fabric of the skirt tends to slide off the plastic top, so we would need to add some clips at the bottom to keep it in place as well. In the end we decided to return the item as it was too much of a hassle for what the manufacturer should have even thought of. If you have the ability to install the apron before placing the tree on the base and don't mind adding clips to secure the apron in place then you won't be disappointed.
