Review on Auto Meter 2614 Mechanical Vacuum by Eric Broad

I ordered a nearly new item for half the price of a new meter. I knew there was something wrong with that, but I'm resourceful so I took a chance. The sensor I received was in perfect condition except the needle read 3 in/Hg. Art. at rest. I knew this would result in inaccurate boost readings, so I played around with it a bit. I lifted the coil slightly until it read 0 and tested it with a hand vacuum pump/gauge. It's perfect now and has been working very well for the past six months or so. As for the quality of the sensor, I couldn't ask for more. It is very smooth, the needle does not stick anywhere and does not jump. I would pay full price and still be fully satisfied.
