Review on ๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ Silent 50mm x 50mm x 10mm Brushless Cooling Fan for 3D Printer & Computer Case - Pack of 2 by Tim Larsen

Quiet, appears to be of very good quality.

These appear to be very good quality engines. These are 12v DC motors and they are very quiet. I wanted them for mounting on Raspberry Pi cases. They are physically significantly larger than the typical 25mm "Pi" fan, which is 50mm, but I wanted "significantly" more airflow. These fans are clearly not designed to be installed on a Pi, and "fitting" to many cases will be "difficult" at best. But they move MUCH more air than 25mm. Also remember that the Raspberry Pi is a 5V DC device and these are 12V DC fans. Both started and worked very well at 5vdc. I don't recommend running them at this voltage, but I don't see a problem and haven't had a problem. But I will power them separately from the recommended 12 VDC. (at 5VDC they drew 45mA). They seem to work well in any position. They are designed for 12 VDC and 0.1 amps. (or 100 mA) At 12 volts they drew about 88 mA, at 12.7 volts they drew about 92 mA and not 100 mA until the input voltage was 14.5 VDC. The assembly is typical for this type of engine. There was no perceptible vibration. They seem to be very good fans for what I mean... (HDD home network storage server)
