Super Baselayer - my new test report

Since my son is in a *I prefer to wear black and slim* phase, I found the opportunity to test this sporty long-sleeved shirt from the AMAZON brand Peak Velocity to be perfect. Especially since he has a nice V-shaped upper body and S always fits perfectly. it came in a Best Buy plastic bag and was also in a transparent bag. When unpacking, there was almost no smell of its own, although I expected that with 70% merino wool. The material mix feels wonderful; it is smooth and cool at the same time, but also warming, very strange. The shirt is quite thin and a little stretchy. The workmanship is impeccable; the zip runs cleanly. When the photos were taken, two things became apparent to me, which later turned out to be less attractive when my offspring went on to do the practical test.Firstly, the shirt is not a *slim product; it slobbers around my son a bit. On the other hand, the collar is really (!) cut very tight. In itself, that would not be a problem if it weren't for the less valuable-looking zipper, which is quite uncomfortable and annoying when the zipper is closed. However, he leaves the collar a bit open because the zipper annoys him, I would rather classify it as size M. (Instead of the declared size S) And for this lavish purchase price, a cover for the zip would be a must with such a tight-fitting stretch collar, I would give a full 5 stars because the material is really great, both visually and haptically.

Pros
  • The shirt is moisture wicking to keep you dry and comfortable.
Cons
  • May not hold up well after multiple washes resulting in needing to be replaced
