Oh yes, they are worth it!

I have a whole collection of embroidery and sewing scissors. I liked the handles on them (a requirement of course) but the real test is what do they add to the utility? They are heavy with powerful blades. This is my group's workhorse for cutting something thick (like layers of fabric) or trimming wire for beads. You can grip the handle with your whole hand to keep a perfect grip; and thus the accuracy and hardness in the cut. I can't believe I hesitated; They are now among my top 3 favorites in the collection no matter how many.
