It will pay for itself in a month.

I used this for south facing windows as they are quite hot in the summer. Honestly, it's like walking past a heater. Holy shit, it mattered! Currently, my energy consumption is down about 25% compared to last year. Also, it was very hot. The air conditioning runs much less to keep the house warm. I'll save them for fall and winter (I taped them in place for easier removal) when I really need warmth.
