Review on Monroe 58630 Adjust Shock Absorber by Victor Correa

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I'm satisfied.: Cushioning

I needed more lift as my Dakota at 500 pounds in the box tended to squat a little. I would have preferred a pneumatic lift for adjustability, but that seems like a good compromise, especially for the price. Installation was easy enough for a do-it-yourselfer on a flat base on the garage floor rather than under an elevator. I have many good jacks and reliable jacks. Don't try to do this with just a scissor jack. If you have a power ratchet or impact wrench it will make the job a lot easier. My 1/2" battery-powered impact wrench was pretty tight to fit in place, but I managed. A regular ratchet will also work, but with a pair of bolts, the turning angle is only about 15 degrees. Dodge truck design, not the fault of the shock absorber design.Overall I'm satisfied.I wish I could find them for our Honda compact crossover.
