Review on Wireless Earbuds for TV - Avantree HT380 by Justin Vasquez

My elderly uncle has tried 3 different brands of these horrible hearing aids. While this design is better than other "stab" designs, this Avantree is possibly the worst as there is no security feature on the external mic. Above a certain volume, a screeching feedback loop is created that reaches hearing-damaging frequencies. My uncle was in this condition for a minute or two and he couldn't tell that his hearing had continued to deteriorate. The product should therefore be withdrawn, it is a safety risk. So just don't use it in room listening mode, right? No, because the receiver now refuses to connect to the base at all. Some days it will work, some days inexplicably it won't, NONE of the suggestions to do this, the piece of junk just doesn't work properly, And of course it's been a few weeks since the return deadline so there's still a hundred bucks left into the sewer. Stay away from all those junk TV hearing aids and just buy a good pair of Bluetooth headphones from Sony or some other reputable company. Too bad Medicare doesn't cover proper hearing aids and people on a budget are at the mercy of that awful shit. So tired of these junk products from communist China.
