Stuck Button on Personal Fans

I generally like the fan, but after a few uses I've noticed that the speed selector knob often gets stuck and the fan alternates between all speeds. I've tried opening the fan to find and fix the source of the problem, but I can't see what's wrong. The only way not to change gears is to either gently press the button or figure out how to pull it off while it's working. plugged. It sucks! 😒
