My wife bought me this monitor as a birthday present. She ordered it directly from the BenQ website, not through Revain. I installed the monitor and was delighted with both the video and sound quality. But after about 30 minutes, a red vertical bar appeared in the center of the display. This is where the nightmare of working with BenQ customer service began. On May 15th I contacted customer service through their website and informed them of the problem. (Phone support is not available.) I didn't get a response as of May 20th and it was an email asking for more information. On May 22nd I received an email with a form to fill out asking for a replacement. Unfortunately, I was away at the time and wasn't able to return the form until June 7th. One day on June 10th I received an email asking me to send them proof of purchase, which really wasn't necessary since it was purchased directly from them. I sent proof of purchase the same day. On June 13th I received an email that my RMA was processed. I also received a separate email stating that a new monitor had been dispatched and that "the replacement will come with a prepaid label on the outside of the box allowing the defective product to be returned to us". The RMA form said I had 10 days to return the defective unit or my credit card would be charged. The replacement monitor arrived on June 17th. It works great! I love this monitor! However, there was no prepaid label on either the outside or inside of the box. I immediately emailed asking how to return the old monitor. Yesterday I wrote again with the same question. And with no response, I emailed again this morning. So the 10 day clock is running up to a $160 charge on my credit card, it's been three days and I still don't have a shipping label. Do the math. I've been dealing with this simple RMA since May 15 35 days ago and it's still not resolved. The monitor is an excellent product and deserves 5 stars but I will never buy anything from this company again!
