I have Melitta and BrewRite filters in my old Mr. Coffee simply because they were at my grocery store. Both brands caused the water line to overflow the side height of the filter leaving coffee grounds in my cup. I've read in Revain reviews that these filters are superior, which turned out to be WRONG. All three, Melitta, BrewRite, and Mr. Coffee has a page height of 2 1/4 inches based on my personal measurements. The difference is that these filters have an increased flow rate. Thus the line never exceeds the lateral height of the filter as it passes through the filter faster. I think the moral of the story is that every brewer has an ideal flow rate. It is best to use filters made for this machine whenever possible. As an added benefit, the coffee I brew tastes better. I recommend these filters to those of you who love Mr. Coffee.
