Review on πŸ”Œ Metra 70-7903 Wiring Harness for 2001-Up Mazda Vehicles: Efficient Installation Solution by Tim Springer

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Simplified connection to 2006 MX5 NC Miata but not all features

I have this Binize 7 inch Android 10 main unit along with Metra Electronics wire harness 70-7903 (specifically designed for 2006 MX5 ) Bought. The Metra harness connects to the vehicle harness on one end and to the Binize harness on the other end. Metra wiring harness is not required but simplifies installation. I followed the instructions in the manual for the specific vehicle and surprisingly had no problems. The radio worked the first time but it took another 12+ hours for the steering wheel controls to work. There are two wires, usually labeled 1N and 1P, coming from the car and going to the wiring harness on the dash. (The wires can be found on the ASWC-1 Steering Wheel Control Adapter website.) There are no corresponding wires in the Metra wiring harness and these wires must be connected for the steering wheel control to work. Therefore four stars (and not five). Ideally, this vehicle specific wiring harness should have the appropriate wires attached to the wiring harness.
