I purchased this item to pump hydraulic fluid from a standard bore 5 gallon pail. I would never have bought it if I knew it wasn't attached to the bucket at all; I'm surprised anyone would give this product more than one star based on that alone. Holding the pump in the bucket and pumping the liquid can be done with two hands, so you'll need to find a way to hold the outlet in place or hire a helper. If that wasn't enough, as per other reviews, the one I got leaked - a lot - where the pump shaft goes through the housing. With oil being so expensive these days, a leak alone would be a reason not to purchase this product. I just added liquid; If I pumped all 5 gallons I think the leak would be enough to fill the top of the bucket. I do not recommend this pump at all and consider it a waste of money. In fact, this product is so bad that I plan to avoid anything Lumax does in the future.
