Review on Jet Tools Abrasive Ready Wrap by Marcel Robinson

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Extremely poor quality

These strips were VERY LOW quality. I've had the Jet 22/44 for about 18 months now and use it on wide planks, countertops or countertops that I make in my small commercial custom shop. I mostly just use 80s strips and use them to smooth out those wide areas with a few light passes. I usually buy abrasives at my local woodworking shop and have had great luck. Recently, however, my local store was down, so I bought them online. However, upon opening the box, the strips turned out to be different for three reasons: 1. They came in an unmarked cardboard box (not "Jet").2. The strips appeared very dry and brittle.3. The ends were cut slightly differently, leaving only the tiniest strips to insert into the drum itself. The back of the abrasive said "Klingspor - Made In Germany" just like the ones I received before. But the usual cardboard seemed a bit strange. I don't know what to do about it, but something is wrong. 5 minutes after installation, the first bar broke. I was concerned that I might not have attached it properly, so I made sure everything was right on the next strip. I was able to process about 150 square meters of wood before the second strip broke. That's still a very poor performance. Just installed the third rod, which broke immediately when the drum was switched on: BEFORE firewood was put in. Surprisingly low quality. I am very disappointed in the poor quality of these strips.
