But it works. for power tool parts and accessories

I plugged it in and dropped a partially charged M@kita BL1830 6.0Ah clone battery into the charger. Fit well and is holding up well. The red light came on and that told me we were in business. I'm not a big fan of the "music" that plays when you first connect the battery and when it boils, but that's just me. The OEM counterpart does the same and you can change the tone by removing and reinserting the battery within 5 seconds. A fan was supposed to spin while the battery was charging, but I didn't. Listen. I tensed and tensed, but all I heard was a constant ringing in my ears. But I'm pretty sure my hearing is still good enough to hear the fan an inch away, so I grabbed a screwdriver. I went to electrical engineering school but I don't need it to see the problem. There was no fan inside, although the product page clearly states there is one. (The OEM model does.) There's also no amber LED on the board, so you won't be bothered by it lighting up. On OEM models, an amber LED indicates a problem with the fan or needs to be "charged". "Conditioning Charging" adjusts the charging conditions to extend the life of your batteries, whether they are hot, cold or deeply discharged. In any case, I doubt my particular charger somehow escaped the factory without the included fan and LED. Pear. I think it was designed with these hardware omissions on purpose. If this is the case, the supplier should promptly change the product information and instructions to reflect that this model is fanless and also remove any misinformation about the yellow light. Due to the lack of a fan and LED, I do not recommend this charger. It works, but there are better ways.
