These are really cool toys that kids also love as nightlights. However, they were not very watertight for my purpose. Although we used them at a pool party (for less than the recommended 4 hours) and the kids had a blast, when we collected them many had water inside. We had put 20 in the pool and of those 3 died completely, and about 4 more ever since turn themselves on and off, so I imagine they will use up the batteries soon as well. On the other hand, for the price they were a super popular addition to our event! Also, the kids were playing with them in the water, and maybe submerging them repeatedly is what compromised their water seal. In any case, they ended up as awesome party favors for the kids on their way out the door, and I did get another package for the next pool party.
