I have always trailered my boat and attached the transom with the original buckle straps. Well this year as we were driving home one day, another truck pulled up next to me and pointed to the back of a trailer. I pulled off the freeway and found that one of the straps had caught on the boat and was hanging there, ready to fall. I found them at Revain's that evening and ordered a pair. They arrived quickly and were mounted on my trailer within half an hour. They have a spring return when not in use and the ratchet works great to give it a little extra tightness while riding and as the ratchet is bolted to the trailer I can't loosen it either.
