Review on πŸ”Œ D-Link DIR-632 Wireless-N 8-Port Router: Discontinued by Manufacturer but Still Packs a Powerful Punch! by Austin Wolf

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It's been a month and everything works!

(03/04/12) I saw some bad reviews and some good reviews so decided to try my luck as I really needed some extra ethernet ports. I have 2 phone lines, 2 TVs, a network drive and a computer connected via Cat5 cables and have had no problems for 24 hours. Easy Install requires you to install the software first. I was too lazy to get my laptop (drive) from the top floor and decided to do the manual setup with a netbook. It was quick and easy. In addition to the 6 devices listed above, I have a netbook, two smartphones and a laptop that I have successfully connected wirelessly to the router. So far, so good. I will only update this review if I encounter any issues. I hope this helps those who have doubts about purchasing this device. (03/04/12) 1 month has passed, no major problems, no idea why this device always gets such bad reviews. I live in a double room and my mum lives next door and I couldn't get a signal until I switched from my not-so-old, not-so-cheap Belkin. I never bought it for signal amplification, but I did signal amplification. I'm glad everything works. I've experienced signal loss on one of my Android phones a few times, but this was fixed by disabling the wireless connection and then re-enabling it on the phone. Here's a suggestion for those who are still having trouble with theirs. If you live in an apartment building or in an area where many signals overlap, your wireless signal may be "interfering". This can be fixed by changing the channel on the router's admin page. I had to do this with my Belkin wireless router, and yes. is it important. Hope that helps.
