Not suitable for continuous high current applications, heats up and melts.

The fuse supplied with this socket is not suitable for continuous high-current applications because the internal resistance is too high. 200A on a 250A fuse. I measured a 120mV drop which is an amazing 0.125*200=24W of heat dissipation. If this current were drawn for several hours and, as in my case, the fuse was installed in my van's engine compartment, the plastic housing would begin to melt. Recommendation: Do not use this fuse and socket to charge inverters or batteries. applications. If a continuous current is drawn near the fuse rating for a long time, it heats up and can pose a fire hazard.
