Review on Frigidaire 5304460923 Door Latch Dishwasher by John Vann

This product fits perfectly in my 18" Frigidaire dishwasher. The issue I had was that the item was in a 'locked position' meaning it would not latch when I closed the dishwasher door. I had no idea this was the problem, even though I made a mistake installing it. Disassembled and reinstalled twice. About 2 hours wasted time, I had no idea what the problem was. Then I had to call a mechanic to fix the dishwasher handle latch. He checked everything and said everything was installed correctly. The handyman took it apart but couldn't lock the door. After 30 minutes he found the latch was in the closed position. He unlocked it with great difficulty and said the item should never have been shipped in the locked position as there was no way this could work. So $150 later for the mechanic to open the latch that was supposed to open. It would have been easy to fix the latch for $30 and my time installing it, but no. That's why my rating is so low. Everything was easy to install except the position of the lock.
