Wonderful gloves for their purpose. They are lighter than normal ski gloves but have enough insulation to keep your hands warm up to around 15 degrees. Your palms have a rubberized form that becomes sticky/tacky at temperatures above 15 degrees. I use them for warmer days skiing, snowshoeing on colder days and of course ski mountaineering. Haven't had any watertight leaks yet and my hands only get cold after stopping at 7000ft in consistent 30+ mph winds. A little movement of the hand or body brought my hands into hot warmth again.
