Some debate. I was wondering if you routinely brought your DSLR with you everywhere you went. Just for fun, and not because you have to? For a little moment, I had the thought that I didn't want to always have my trusty Canon 35mm f/2 on hand. The primary reason is its size, which is comparable to that of many other lenses (whales, etc.). The 70D, when combined with other lenses, makes for a DSLR that is both large and heavy, necessitating the use of a dedicated camera bag. Because I wanted to be able to carry it in a daypack, a jacket pocket, or a summer waist bag, I prioritized portability and light weight. I considered getting a mirrorless camera for just such an occasion, but this seems excessive. This pancake saved the day; with its constant focal length, it takes excellent photos in all lighting. Generally speaking, it is now easier for me to bring a fotik along. Incorporating it into an SLR makes the camera more compact. I primarily document his intriguing non-work-related moments through photographs for a personal chronicle. As a result, I am a perfect fit for him.
