I'm a girl who loves buying and repairing used vacuum cleaners. Recently, my local thrift stores have Oreck XL racks that require straps. If I can get them cheap, I'll buy them and "flip" them. The last one I bought was the Oreck XL "40th Anniversary Edition". When the straps arrived I was afraid at first that they wouldn't fit because the strap was so tight out of the box. After a little work I put it on and now the vacuum cleaner works like a champ and is my daily user (it avoided sale). I have another 1 XL that needs a new belt and engine setup and I am planning to have it repaired as well. The price was right too as my local Oreck store was charging over $10* + tax* for a set of straps.
