I bought this leash for my girl for Christmas. The length is good and appears to be of good quality and feels good in the hand. Unfortunately, she was recently attacked by an aggressive off-leash dog. When I tried to hold her, the clasp broke and I had to reach out and grab her collar. Not good in the middle of a dog fight. I don't think this is a widespread problem with this product, I just think what I received was defective. But do your friend the most important favor and check your collars and leashes first! I suggest attaching the collar and leash to a fence post or tree and supporting your weight on it. If any of them fail this test, I will NOT use it for my friend. She means too much to me. She is 80 pounds. but not running or rushing after people or other animals, but if it does, check these points BEFORE USE. It might just save your friend's life! Or in my case, an expensive vet bill. I was lucky that the other dog's owner agreed to pay all the vet bills. Take care of your pets! They rely on the USA! Many Thanks.
