In the last minute of the project I realized that some of my cypress stock was running short. I had never used a spiked nozzle before so I went with this one because it was the cheapest but had good reviews. I set it up on my router table and carefully marked the position of the teeth in relation to the table surface, then using scraps of the same cypress stock I made the necessary two passes - one face up on a piece and the other face down then the second piece. Testing of the connection showed it to be near perfect, requiring no drill height adjustment. I proceeded to "stretch" the rest of the required stock with excellent results. It is important to plan the process so that the desired right side of the bonded material always matches - this is especially true when the right side of the bonded parts needs to be precisely aligned. If you have a long finished material, remember that the pieces will need to be pressed firmly together while the glue sets.
