Review on Razer Raion Fightpad: PS4, PS5 Fighting Game Controller with 8-Way D-Pad, Mechanical Switch Front Buttons, Headset Jack - Black by Will Anderson

Amazing mat for fighting games.

I play Tekken and it's perfect. The directional pad clicks when pressed and released. That gives a good feeling of validation. The buttons are the opposite. No clicks, just a soft click. This is basically the opposite of a regular pad. This is especially great for fighting games. Its light is much greater than that of a normal carpet. Of course, it is ideal for grasping with claws. And now it's the only battle panel with an audio input. The only thing that I think they can definitely improve on is the R2 and L2 buttons. They are designed the way you would normally hold them. With the claw grip, however, things are a little different. You should just make the R2 and L2 buttons the same as the L1 and R1 buttons. This makes it easier for you to click. They should be longer, not wider. I understand the issue of the d-pad not having rotation to prevent invalid input. However, you can get around this by using the d-pad more accurately, and in all honesty you should learn to play more accurately. In fact, this pad generally helps to play more accurately. In conclusion, I would like to talk about the lack of analogues. Because of this, you cannot play games that require them. (FPS) It would be interesting if they were added. This would reach more consumers. But even if they were, it wouldn't be as good as a regular pad with analogues. You need to free up space in this area by moving the buttons to the right. For width, this works, but it also makes the pad look longer. I don't know if this will work. Maybe it really can.

Pros
  • 3.5mm analog audio support: Allows easy access via the 3.5mm audio jack directly on the controller (PS4 compatible only)
Cons
  • Available in white only
