Review on Torin Hydraulic Transmission Floor Jack by Michael Nard

I almost broke my arm when the cheap washing machine broke! I was impressed with what appeared to be a quality product. Nice finish, good welds, easy to maneuver under the weight of a fairly small powertrain. Then I heard a loud bang, the gearbox fell to the right and then stopped. My hand was on the control knob, but I released it quickly and thankfully in time. As the transmission slammed to the right, it stalled on the throttle. The cause was a cheap 25 cent washer that broke (gave) and allowed the jack to shift the load. Then I dismantled the handle and replaced the washer with a quality washer. And just in case, I replaced ALL the cheap washers. With a $200 jack, you should expect a set of quality washers. *** Update *** The hydraulics are defective. the jack handle works 2-3 times, then it has no resistance. In other words, swing the handle 2-3 times and nothing. he's just limp. I don't usually talk about this in reviews. but this jack is complete nonsense!
