I compare it to Dyson and DeWalt handhelds. First, like DeWalt, the Craftsman design uses the same batteries as other Craftsman cordless tools. I have a drill, a screwdriver and a grinder so I have some chargers and some batteries to share. This is great because you can charge the battery while using another and replace it when needed. It's a lot smaller than a DeWalt or Dyson laptop. It certainly costs less than Dyson. I prefer the Dyson brush for use in my shop and in my truck. The brushes help loosen and pick up dirt and prevent the vaccine's plastic tip from scratching surfaces. Suction power is the same across all three devices, although Dyson has a Boost mode that outperforms the others. It's also the lightest of the three in terms of weight. In general, it is similar to the old DC car vacuum cleaner but with more power. If you already have Craftsman cordless tools, this is an economical choice. I still prefer Dyson for cleaning metal or wood from milling or woodworking in my workshop. But it's incredibly expensive.
